Jungkook Qatar World Cup Opening Ceremony→Jin Paris Olympic Torch Relay...BTS's Status

BTS is showing off its stature by attending global events. After the youngest member, Jungkook, performed at the opening ceremony of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, the group's eldest brother, Jin, will be the torchbearer for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris.

"BTS' Jin will be the torchbearer for the '2024 Summer Olympics in Paris' to be held on July 27," the group's agency, Big Hit Music, announced on Wednesday.
The Paris Games torch relay began in April in Olympia, Greece, and will travel to 64 locations, including French city centers and beaches, before the Games begin. The flame and torchbearers will travel through historic locations that symbolize the host country.

Previously, Jungkook performed at the opening ceremony of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, which was held in 2022.

Jungkook participated in the opening ceremony by releasing the official soundtrack of the World Cup, Dreamers. Jungkook first performed a song and dance routine, followed by a performance with Alcubaisi.

The performance was considered one of the highlights of the opening ceremony.

Bangtan members have been appearing at festivals around the world, from Korea to Jin, proving the group's global status.

Bangtan has been called a "pop icon of the 21st century" and has made a mark on the world of popular music. In addition to establishing themselves as global artists, BTS has also been practicing their influence for good through their two UN General Assembly speeches and their "LOVE MYSELF" campaign with the UNICEF Korea Committee since 2017.

Currently, all members of BTS are serving in the military except for Jin. Jin was discharged from the military last month and has been back in full swing.
