Newzine's Japanese debut single 'Supernatural' debuts at No. 1 on Billboard's Global Songs Chart in the U.S.

NewJeans' Japanese debut single "Supernatural" has landed on the top of the major U.S. Billboard charts.

According to the latest charts released by U.S. Billboard on July 6 (local time), NewJeans' (Minji, Hani, Daniel, Harin, Hyein) Japanese debut single title track "Supernatural" debuted at No. 14 on the Global (excluding U.S.) and No. 25 on the Global 200. The second single "Right Now" also debuted on both charts, kicking off the duo's popularity.

NEWZINX's May double single, "How Sweet," and its lead single, "Bubble Gum," have also spent five consecutive weeks on the Global (excluding U.S.) and Global 200. This marks the fourth time that NUJINS has placed all four new songs from "How Sweet" and "Supernatural" on the Billboard Global Songs chart, proving their global popularity.

In particular, NUJINS' songs have been on fire since their Tokyo Dome fan concert, rebounding on major music charts in Korea and Japan.

"Supernatural" topped the real-time chart of Bucks, a major Korean music site, at No. 1 (as of 4 p.m. on Feb. 2), and soared to No. 8 on Melon's Top 100 (as of 11 p.m. on Feb. 2). Despite the fact that it is rare for Japanese singles to reach the top of the domestic music charts, the song entered the Melon Top 100 at No. 34 on the day of its release (June 21) and has been slowly climbing the ranks ever since.

Newzine's momentum on the Japanese music charts is no different. On Spotify Japan's Daily Top Songs on July 1, "Supernatural" ranked No. 15, up two spots from the previous day. There are 11 songs from Newzine alone on this chart. A total of nine songs, including "How Sweet" (No. 12) and "Supernatural" (No. 13), are also popular on the Apple Music Japan Top 100.

Previously, the Japanese debut single "Supernatural" went straight to No. 1 on Oricon's Daily Single Ranking on the day of release and held the throne for three consecutive days (June 21-23), and the title track "Supernatural" also topped the Line Music Real-Time and Daily Charts.

Meanwhile, Newzine mobilized a total of 91,200 people at the Tokyo Dome fan meeting "Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome" held on June 26-27. The group has been receiving favorable reviews from fans and local media for their diverse performances of over 20 songs, and they are continuing their activities in Japan by appearing on Fuji TV's "FNS Karaoke Festival" live broadcast today (March 3).
