Intel breaks its own record for most-watched acting show...from funny to suspenseful

'Connection' Ji-Seong's acting performance shook up the theater.

This time, Ji-Seong's trustworthy performance worked. His comeback SBS Friday drama 'Connection' had a viewership of 7.9% nationwide, 8.2% in the Seoul metropolitan area, and up to 9.8% (provided by Nielsen Korea), breaking its own high ratings every time, continuing a pleasant upward trend.

In the drama, Ji Sung is showing an explosive performance as Jang Jae Kyung, who transforms from an ace detective who catches drug criminals to a drug addict. Especially in the fourth episode of "Connection," he captured the viewers' attention with his winged side. His flawless and complete performance made the dramatic fun and suspense as well as the immersion level of the story reach its peak.

In the midst of the impending situation, Jang Jae-kyung (Ji Sung)'s confusion grew. One minute he's relieved to find that there's no CCTV footage of his office's rampage to get his hands on the lemon mulberry that's being kept as evidence, the next he realizes that his junior Kim Chang-soo (Jung Jae-kwang) has not only viewed the office CCTV without a record, but has also been watching the CCTV of his emergency room rampage. Jang Jae-kyung began to suspect his junior's suspicious behavior, creating a suspenseful atmosphere that kept the audience on the edge of their seats.

Later, an unexpected tragedy befell Jang Jae-kyung, much to everyone's chagrin. He saw his friend's last moments through the CCTV installed in a mill near the scene of Yoon Jun-seo's death. The sight of Yoon Joon-seo with his own two eyes made his heart sink, and even as he was being attacked by Jung Yoon-ho (Lee Kang-wook), he felt desperate when the owner handed him a USB that would give him a clue.

The endless spectrum of his performance continued to unfold for 60 minutes. With this, he three-dimensionally expressed the colorful emotions his character went through, immersing the audience in the story. His performance was so compelling that it was hard to take your eyes off of him, and it also restored faith and credibility to his name. We are looking forward to seeing what else he will do in the remaining episodes.

Meanwhile, SBS 'Connection' starring Ji Sung airs every Friday and Saturday at 10 p.m.
