Suho on SM-Exo Chen Baekshi lawsuit: "I feel sorry for the fans"

Group EXO and actor Suho has spoken about the conflict between his agency SM Entertainment (SM) and team member Chen Baekhyun Xiumin (Chen Baeksi).

Sooho shared his feelings about the conflict between SM and Chen Baekshi in a recent interview for the end of MBN's Saturday drama "Seja is Missing.

Last year, Chen Baekshi and SM had a conflict over their contract renewal. The two sides have since settled the dispute, with Chen Baekshi founding a new company, I&B100, and working as a solo artist, while SM has agreed to only work with the EXO group.

On the 10th, however, Chen Baekshi's agency, I&B100, held an emergency press conference and claimed that SM had not fulfilled the terms of the agreement during the exclusive contract dispute last year. "The essence of the case is tampering (unfair inducement) on the part of MC Mong and Cha Ga Won against SM artists," SM said after the press conference, adding, "We will not tolerate Chen Baeksi's behavior of repeating the claim that the exclusive contract and the agreement are invalid in order to pursue their own selfish interests."

The conflict between the two sides eventually turned into a legal battle when SM filed a settlement claim against Chen Baixi. This has also put EXO Group's planned activities for the rest of the year in doubt.

"First of all, the members were surprised and embarrassed when they read about the press conference (Chen Baixi's side)," said EXO leader Suho, cautiously adding, "The members are also feeling a little bit upset."

Suho continued, "Not only me, but also the other members, want to apologize to the fans. We are most worried about the fans because this unexpectedly happened again. We are most sorry for the fans," he said, expressing his concern for them.

Suho went on to say, "We've made some plans for future (EXO) activities, but I think SM and the rest of the members are also worried about our future activities," adding, "I'll talk to the (Chen Baeksi) members and try to lead them in a direction that doesn't interfere with EXO's activities."

"Seja Disappeared," which concluded its 20-episode run on Jan. 16, is a Joseon romantic comedy about the ups and downs, great triumphs and ultimate escapades of two young men and women when the crown prince is taken in by the woman who will become Seja Bin, and Suho plays the crown prince, Lee Gun.
