Chen to be 'Zico's Artist'...'an all-around vocalist'

CHEN, a member of the group EXO and a solo artist, demonstrated his 'all-around vocal talent'.

CHEN appeared on KBS2's "The Seasons - Zico's Artist," which aired on the 15th.

"It's Okay to Love" OST 'Best Luck' marked the beginning of 'Chen Time,' and he said, "It was my first OST and Dio's (Do Kyung Soo) first drama. It's a meaningful song for me as well."

On the day, Chen dominated the stage with his overwhelming vocals. Following a preview of So Chan-hwi's "Tears," which was a hit on the red carpet of "Lee Hyori's Red Carpet," he said, "Speaking of male vocals, it doesn't sound so good after a certain range, so it's not often used in music. I haven't tried it either, but I didn't have a transition period when I was younger. I still sing Cherry Filter's songs," and surprised everyone by performing Cherry Filter's "Romantic Cat" live on one key with Zico.

Chen transcended the boundaries of idol and balladeer to become a hip-hop artist. When Zico mentioned that Chen's favorite genre is hip-hop, Chen said, "I've loved it since I was a kid," and he heated up the Friday night with the dynamic duo "Confession."

Chen closed the show with "Empty," the title track from his fourth mini-album DOOR. He said, "I hope my album can be a comforting and relaxing album. The title track, 'Empty,' reflects my desire to provide comfort to those who are lonely and lonely."

She was especially fond of Baekhyun, with whom she worked on the album track "Flower Seed," saying, "This is the first time we worked on lyrics together, and I felt very grateful to him for helping me finish it on time despite being very busy.

Chen released "DOOR" on March 28th.
