Lee Seung-gi's side "Remand for dismissal of manipulation charges against my father-in-law's stock price, please don't touch my family"

Actor Lee Seung Gi's camp has responded to the ruling on his father-in-law's stock manipulation.

Lee Seung Gi's agency, Big Planet Made Entertainment, said on Saturday, "The Supreme Court recently issued a decision to remand the case related to the alleged stock price manipulation of Mr. Lee Seung Gi's father-in-law, Mr. A, in 2016."

"We would like to first express our full support for our artist, Mr. Lee Seung Gi, so that he can focus on his work as an actor and singer," the agency said, adding, "As an artist who has celebrated his 20th anniversary, we implore you not to touch his family as he strives to be closer to his fans."

The agency said, "This matter was before Mr. Lee Seung Gi got married, and it is a matter for the family to resolve," adding, "Mr. Lee Seung Gi is more motivated than ever as he makes a new start at Big Planet Made Entertainment."

Finally, we would like to reiterate that the agency will take stronger legal action against any fake news and maliciously degrading comments about Mr. Lee Seung Gi and his family in the future."

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Mr. A, Lee Seung Gi's father-in-law and husband of actress Gom Miri, was acquitted on appeal of charges of manipulating stock prices to gain huge ill-gotten gains, but his conviction was overturned by the Supreme Court.
