'Heartsignal 2' Song Da Eun clarifies Burning Sun rumors, "Stop speculating about club girls and drugs"

Former 'Heartsignal 2' actress Song Da-eun revealed her frustration with the Burning Sun rumors.

Song Da Eun recently wrote on her social media, "I have never done any club drugs or any identifiable behavior related to drugs that has been tagged on me in recent years. (For the record, I'm a non-smoker and not a big drinker.) But I do have something to say about the Monkey Museum," she wrote.

Song continued, "As an adult, I never crossed the threshold of a club, not even when I was in college and not even when I graduated. At that time, I was so vulnerable to alcohol that even a sip of alcohol would make me drunk, so I only went to a few bars with my college friends and the occasional hop house near my school." "One day, a senior at my school asked me to have dinner with him, and there was a victory in that moment. He realized I was a junior at his school, so he was nice to me. From there, we connected and I got a call that he was opening a lounge club. I didn't think it would be a big deal to help out, so I agreed," he said.

Song continued, "I was completely ignorant of the concept of Monkey Museum - 'lounge club'. At that time, what I did at the Monkey Museum was to check the reservations entered on the laptop at the door, and if it was a vulnerable customer, I would put a band on their wrist." "I had to get a health certificate before I could work, so I went to the ward office to get a health certificate, and I had no idea that the Monkey Museum was operating illegally," she explained.

"I helped out for about a month, and then other people in the same position as me quit. A few months later, the Monkey Museum's first anniversary party was organized. We didn't expect to be invited, but they invited us to thank us for our hard work in the first month, so we were there. I'm usually unlucky, so when it came time to nominate a prize, I didn't think I was going to get it, but another employee put our names in, and we found out later that we were. My friend won a different prize, and I won a $500,000 gift certificate to a department store, and we took a picture together, which later went viral after my appearance on "Heartsignal," and I became the person who worked at Monkey Museum for over a year, and then the person who ended up working at Burning Sun. But it's not true," he said.

Song added, "Furthermore, it was said that I attracted other women or worked at Burning Sun. "At that time, I wrote an article in the company saying that it was true that I worked at Monkey Museum for a month and that Burning Sun was not true, but it was a big story and no one listened to me. Of course, I know a lot of people were harmed and hurt by this, but I am not the perpetrator."

Finally, she added: "I would like people to stop assuming that I'm a club girl, that I'm on drugs. I'm just a normal 30-something girl who wants to live my life happily and without bad labels. I hope this clears up a lot of misconceptions."
