Ha Jung-woo→Yeo Jin-gu's 'Hijacking' surpasses 1 million viewers on its 10th day in theaters
According to the Korean Film Council's integrated computerized network, "Hijacking" has surpassed one million viewers with a cumulative attendance of 1 million 406 as of 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Currently, "Hijacking" has been the No. 1 movie at the Korean box office for nine days. This was achieved through steady word-of-mouth from moviegoers in a market dominated by big foreign films, as well as Korean competition.
"Hijacking" is an imaginative retelling of the 1971 airliner hijacking that is said to be the world's greatest miracle, and stars Ha Jung-woo, Yeo Jin-gu, Sung Dong-il, and Chae Soo-bin.
The Hijacking is currently playing to rave reviews in theaters.
