Jimin's #1 iTunes Top Song in 108 Countries...a Serenade to the World

BTS' Jimin has swept to the top of iTunes worldwide with the pre-release song of his second solo album.

Jimin's "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Rokko)," which was released at 1 p.m. KST on July 28, topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 108 countries/regions around the world as of 7 a.m. KST on July 29. The song also topped the Worldwide iTunes Songs and European iTunes Songs charts on the day of its release.

The video for the track "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Rocco)" has been a hit, reaching the top of YouTube's "Trending Music" list shortly after its release. The video had more than 5.2 million views at 9 a.m. on Sept. 29, just 20 hours after its release.

The album's pre-release songs have garnered a lot of attention, giving Jimin's solo sophomore album "MUSE" a fresh start.

'Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Rokko)' is a song based on a 'marching band' that plays while marching. It has a big band (large orchestra) sound with a hip-hop twist, creating an energetic bounce, rhythm, and dynamic atmosphere from start to finish.

The song is especially charming with Jimin's clean vocals and rapper Rocco's energetic and delicate rap as a featured artist. Their perfect combination also shines in the track video of the pre-release song. The track video for "Smeraldo Garden Marching Band (feat. Rocco)" takes place in a beautiful and pure fairytale-like space, and the synergy between Jimin and Rocco is maximized in the two-shot.

"MUSE," which will be released on the 19th of next month, is Jimin's newest work after about a year and four months since his first solo album "FACE," which was released in March 2023, and tells the story of finding the source of inspiration. Jimin will showcase his expanded musical spectrum through the seven tracks on the new album.
