Heo Woong's side "Unrelated to the late Lee Sun-gyun case, apologizes to the bereaved family"

Basketball player Heo Woong (Busan KCC Aegis), who is embroiled in a personal life controversy with his ex-girlfriend A, has apologized for mentioning the late Lee Sun-gyun, who was not involved in the case.

Heung's agency, Keyplayer Agency, apologized on the 29th, saying, "We apologize to the late Lee Sun-gyun, his bereaved family, fans who loved the deceased, and his agency, who were unnecessarily mentioned by us despite being unrelated to this case."

Previously, Heo Woong's camp announced that his ex-girlfriend had filed a lawsuit against him, claiming that he had been threatened with money and stalked. "I have been threatened by the defendants for a long time because I am a famous athlete. I requested the investigative agency to conduct a swift and thorough investigation to prevent the second Lee Seon-gyun case from occurring."

There were even reports that Mr. A worked at the same establishment as Ms. Kim Mo, the manager of an entertainment establishment who was arrested and charged in the late Lee Seon-gyun's case, or that he was one of the suspects in the drug case and was investigated at the time.

However, when Heo Woong mentioned the late Lee Seon-gyun in its statement, users criticized the company for defaming the deceased, who had nothing to do with the case. In response, Heo Woong apologized.

On the other hand, Heo Woong filed a complaint against his ex-girlfriend, A, at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul on March 26, accusing her of extortion, threats, and violating the Stalking Punishment Act.

According to the complaint, Heo Woong and A broke up from December 2018 to December 2021. During the relationship, Ms. A became pregnant twice, but underwent abortions.

Heung initially said he would "take responsibility for the child with Ms. A," but Ms. A underwent an abortion. During the second pregnancy, Ms. A asked for marriage, but Heo Woong refused, and Ms. A demanded 300 million won from Heo Woong." Criticism followed that Heo Woong was shirking his responsibility by saying he was hesitant to marry, and Heo Woong's camp changed its stance, saying, "We were going to get married."

A claims that both abortions were forced on her by Heo Woong, and that the first abortion was at 22 weeks. "During the two surgeries, Heo never expressed his intention to marry me, and the 300 million won was the amount Heo first offered in exchange for the surgeries," she said.
