Nam Hee-Seok, 'National Songwriter' Moves 102-year-old grandmother to tears "Please come out next time"

The oldest participant in the history of 'National Song Contest' cried MC Nam Hee-seok.

On January 1, Nam Hee-seok posted on his Facebook, "Hwasun. 102세. Kang Ye Deok's grandmother. Thanks to you, I cried a lot today," and wrote, "Please be healthy and come on the next Hwasun Songjarang."

Along with this, Nam Hee-seok attached a video of Kang Ye-duk's appearance on KBS1's 'National Song Contest' as a link.

Previously, the June 2 broadcast of 'National Song Contest' was dedicated to Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do, and Kang Ye-duk appeared on the show. She was born in 1922 and is 102 years old this year.

Grandma Kang Ye-duk said, "I got married at the age of 17 and have been living here for 102 years. Please forgive me if I'm not good at (singing)," she introduced, and then sang 'Jillebum'.

The audience erupted in "encore" cheers, and some audience members even shed tears. Nam Hee-seok said, "I'm also in tears."

At the call for an encore, Grandma Kang Ye-duk sang "The Virgin Boatman" and "Mokpo's Tears. Nam Hee-seok said, "Please come out again next time," and Grandma Kang Ye-duk replied, "I will come out again if I don't die," which made him laugh.
