The group BOYNEXTDOOR has successfully concluded their mini 3rd album comeback showcase.
BOYNEXTDOOR (Sungho, Liu, Myungjaehyun, TaeSan, Leehan, Unhak) held a showcase 'BOYNEXTDOOR 3rd EP COMEBACK SHOWCASE' to commemorate the release of their mini 3rd album '19.99' at Mastercard Hall in Blue Square, Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 9th.
The showcase was held at
About 1000 fans who won the pre-entry were present at the event. The showcase was livestreamed on Hive Labels' official YouTube channel and global superfan platform Weverse, and a total of 41,000 people (based on concurrent connections) enjoyed the showcase online. According to Weverse Live, fans from 150 countries/regions including South Korea, the United States, Japan, China, and more tuned in.
The Comeback Showcase was witty from the start. The youngest member, Unhak, who turned 19 this year, greeted fans his own age, saying, "Hello, friends! (The new album) is an album that we who are 19.99 years old can relate to. Let's have fun," as if talking to real friends.
The group then opened the showcase with their pre-release song, "Parents Not Allowed," which they performed with great enthusiasm. In the title track, "Nice Guy," he made a surprise appearance from a car model set and expressed himself through various facial expressions and gestures. In particular, this song stood out for its lighthearted easy listening sound that contrasted with the hip-hop genre of the previous song. In the pop-rock song "Stones," he showed his lonely and painful heart with stretched-out vocals that matched the sharp band sound.
During the talk, the band interacted with the audience about their music as a team that makes their own music. They shared their feelings about the new songs by asking fans for one-line reviews of each track and shared the story behind the recording. They also played simple games related to the themes of the songs for laughs.
Voynextdoor says, "It's an album that I'm very attached to because I've been immersed in it since I started working on it. We wanted to share with you this period of our lives with this album, and we hope that it will resonate and comfort many people. Finally, I will always be a proud singer for ONEDOOR (fan name)," he concluded.
Meanwhile, Boy Next Door released the music for their mini 3rd album "19.99" and the music video for the title track "Nice Guy" on the 9th. "Nice Guy" entered the Melon Realtime Chart's Top 100 at No. 52 at 7 p.m. on the 9th and climbed to No. 26 at 0 a.m. on the 10th. The song expresses their "grounded confidence" that they can capture everyone in the world if they set their minds to it with free and honest lyrics. They will start their music broadcasting outing with the title track on Mnet's "M Countdown" at 6 p.m. on the 12th.
