IU donates a total of $200 million to vulnerable populations in the new year

Singer and actress IU shared her warmth for the New Year. On January 1, IU's agency, Idam Entertainment, announced on their official SNS that they donated KRW 50 million to the Korea Association of Senior Citizens' Welfare Centers, KRW 50 million to the Korea Children's Welfare Association, KRW 50 million to the Korea Association of Single Mothers and Families, and KRW 50 million to the Korea Association of Welfare Facilities for the Disabled, for a total of KRW 200 million to four organizations.

On this day, the agency said, "Keep your hearts open in winter," and "The new year is bright. We can't be happy 365 days a year, but we wish you a year where the happy days far outweigh the sad days. And stay healthy. Happy New Year to everyone," he added. In addition, the agency revealed the donation certificates of each organization. In particular, IU has been donating to various fields since 2010, and the cumulative amount of donations is reportedly over 5 billion won.
