Boy Next Door enters the US Billboard Main Album Chart

BOYNEXTDOOR

BOYNEXTDOOR has entered the U.S. Billboard Main Album Chart.

On May 29 (local time), BOYNEXTDOOR's (Sungho, Liu, Myungjaehyun, TaeSan, Leehan, Unhak) second mini album "HOW?" was ranked at No. 93 on the Billboard 200, the main album chart, according to the latest chart preview post (dated May 4) posted on the official social media of U.S. music media Billboard. This is a 69-position increase from the Billboard 200 debut of their mini album "WHY..." (No. 162), which was released last September.

In addition, BOYNEXTDOOR's new album topped the iTunes Top Albums chart in five countries/regions - Russia, Singapore, Thailand, Hungary, and the Philippines - immediately after its release, and was ranked No. 7 on Spotify's Top Album Debuts Global chart (April 19-21), the world's largest music streaming platform.

The growth in Japan has been even steeper. With nearly double the initial sales of its predecessor (first week sales / 77,000 copies), Boy Next Door topped both the Oricon Weekly Album Ranking and the Oricon Weekly Combined Album Ranking, taking the top two spots on the weekly charts (data period: April 15-21). The album also topped the Billboard Japan Hot Albums chart for the same period.

"HOW?" became the first "half-million seller" on the Korean music sales aggregation site Hanteo Chart, and Boy Next Door won a total of three trophies for their title track "Earth, Wind & Fire" on SBS M, SBS FiL "The Show," MBC every1, MBC M "Show! Champion," and KBS2 "Music Bank.
