BabyMonster Unveils 'Stuck In The Middle,' "A Style Song YG Has Never Released Before"

YG's new girl group Baby Monster's first mini album preview song "Stuck In The Middle" will be released on February 1 at 0 p.m. KST.

On February 31, YG Entertainment announced, "If Baby Monster announced their brilliant appearance as a K-pop game changer with their debut song 'BATTER UP,' this new song will instill confidence in the members' vocal abilities.

To accomplish this, YG chose a song with a style they've never released before and teamed up with powerful producers to make sure it was perfect," said YG. "Stuck In The Middle" is a pop ballad with a minimalist instrumentation and lyrical piano melody that creates a warm atmosphere.

The members delicately express the confusing feelings of first-time love with their unique tones and outstanding vocals. The accompanying music video energizes the music world. The song's melancholy and beautiful emotional line unfolds like a fantasy fairy tale. The dazzling dress visuals of the members, who took off their veils in the teaser content, will also captivate your heart. The favorable performance of 'Stuck In The Middle' is also a concern. "BATTER UP" is the fastest K-pop girl group debut to reach 10 million streams on Spotify, the world's largest music platform.

The music video broke the record for the most views in 24 hours for a K-pop debut with 22.59 million views on the first day of release, and then went on to break the record for the fastest K-pop group debut with 50 million views (4 days), 100 million views (18 days), and 200 million views (53 days). A representative from YG said, "We worked hard to capture Baby Monster's unique voice and even their small breaths in the song," adding, "The song will showcase the deep potential of the members." Meanwhile, Baby Monster will be releasing their first mini album on April 1 following this preview.

Starting with this album, member Ahhyun will return and the group will be actively performing as a seven-member group. Following the U.S. Billboard, the Grammy Awards recently selected Baby Monster as a K-pop newcomer to watch out for, expressing expectations for the group's next steps after the release of this preview song.
