YG Parting ways with G-Dragon "Honored to have spent an hour together"

YG Entertainment (YG) has officially parted ways with one of its artists, G-DRAGON, and wished him well. On the afternoon of the 20th, YG officially announced the parting of ways with G-Dragon through the group's official website, saying, "G-Dragon has been one of our iconic artists, and it has been an honor to work with him since his debut with BIGBANG in 2006." The agency added, "We sincerely wish G-Dragon the best in his new start. I would also like to thank all of his fans for their support and encouragement." Previously, YG expired its exclusive contract with G-Dragon in June. However, the company said, "We are cooperating with G-Dragon on other activities such as advertisements through a separate contract.

We will negotiate an additional contract when he resumes his music activities and will spare no effort to support him." However, G-Dragon was recently accused of drug use, and YG declined to comment on the matter, saying, "It is difficult to confirm because he is not an artist under our agency."

G-Dragon also removed the link to YG's official website from his YouTube channel profile, leading to speculation that the two sides were "covering their tracks". On the same day, Galaxy Corporation, which had been in the spotlight for G-Dragon's new residence, announced a press conference on 'G-Dragon's drug-free status and future activities'. Galaxy Corporation is the producer of Netflix's "Physical:100," and the press conference, scheduled for the 21st, will also reveal its stance on false accusations and bad actors.
