Praying to 'attract 10 million K-pop tourists', 'K World Dream Awards 2024' to be held in Seoul in August

2024 K World Dream Awards

The 2024 K World Dream Awards, the world's largest K-Pop festival that aims to attract 10 million K-Pop tourists, is back.

The '2024 K World Dream Awards' will be held on Aug. 22 at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, according to the organizing committee on Sunday afternoon.

The 2024 K World Dream Awards is a Hallyu festival that showcases K-pop stars who are leading the global culture. It is expected to bring together the leading figures and celebrities who are shining K-pop in the global market and provide various highlights.

World Dream Awards

The 2024 K World Dream Awards began as the "1st Soribada Best K-Music Awards" in 2017 and has been running for eight years. Although the name has changed, the event has always been held in Seoul, the "home of K-pop," and has contributed to attracting K-pop tourists.

We have been preparing for the festival since early this year, hoping to attract 10 million K-pop tourists to Korea, and we are planning to organize a K-pop festival that can be enjoyed by all ages and all over the world to connect with fans at home and abroad.

The festival

The organizers said they are looking forward to "meaningful stages, a cohesive structure, and upgraded production that will determine the position of K-pop in the global market."

In addition to the spectacular stage, the 2024 K World Dream Awards will feature a number of special events that will actively engage the audience. We plan to create a place for communication through various events that artists and fans can enjoy together.

K-pop stars and celebrities will meet with fans on the red carpet, known as the "flower of the awards show," before the main event. In addition, there will be an event to help the underprivileged and vulnerable through the auction of K-pop stars' favorite items.

As part of the event that brings artists and fans together, the organizers have been holding charity auctions every year with memorabilia and merchandise donated or signed by the stars participating in the awards.

This year's awards will also feature online popularity voting, which is 100% driven by K-pop fans. Voting will take place in July via global fandom platform YouPorn.

To round out the biggest festival in the world, some of K-pop's top artists are also scheduled to perform. Last year's lineup included NCT's Taeyong, The Boyz, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, Treasure (T5), N-Hyphen, Ipex, ATBO, CYCUS, Boy Next Door, ZEROBASEONE, Red Velvet's Sleek and Promise Nine, ITZY, Secret Number, STAYC, KARD, Choco 1&2, band Hi-Fi unicorn, and singers Yoonha, Zico, Lee Seung Yoon, Paul Kim, Kim Jae Hwan, and Alexa.

Other acts honored included the groups Seventeen, (Girls) Generation, LeSeraphim, Ive, ESPAR, and NewJinx. The organizers will reveal this year's lineup in due course.

The 2024 K World Dream Awards will also be broadcast live to 198 countries around the world via global live fandom platform Hello Live for K-pop fans who are unable to attend the show in person.
