'Comeback D-1' Yukis ready to run on 16th anniversary of debut

UKISS, the 'representative boy group of the second generation', is still going strong on the 16th anniversary of its debut.

UKISS (Soohyun, Hoon, Kisub, Alexander, and Eli) will release their 13th mini album, "LET'S GET STARTED," on May 25 through various music sites. The new album marks a new beginning for Yukis, as it comes about a year after their 15th anniversary album "PLAY LIST," which was released last June.

Ahead of the album's release, Yukis has been warming up for their comeback with the release of their light and refreshing songs "Morse code" and "Beautiful you are."

We highlighted three reasons why we're looking forward to their new album.

Morse code

▲ Endless musical challenges...'representative boy group of the second generation'

With "Let's Get Started," Yukis conveys their ambition to move forward without stopping their endless musical challenges. The new album includes five songs in various genres such as pop ballads and techno-pop, including the cool rock sounding title track "You're everywhere with me (Stay with me)," showcasing Yukis' expanded musical world. The five members plan to show off their long-established team chemistry and showcase the strength of the 'second generation representative boy group'.

▲ Empathize with all generations...'Manmanhani' syndrome is back

The title song, "You're Everywhere in Me," is about the confusion of unrequited love. The song will resonate with many people as it expresses the ambivalent feelings of giving up one's heart to end unrequited love or wanting to fulfill love with the other person. In particular, the new album will also include "Man Man Hani (2024 Ver.)," a trendy reinterpretation of Yukis' 2009 mega-hit "Man Man Hani. The original song appealed to the tastes of an entire generation based on its intense addictive nature, and it will be interesting to see if Yukis will be able to recreate its syndicated popularity once again with the new song.

▲ Holding solo performances in Korea and Japan...'Original Hallyu Doll' reputation continues

To celebrate the release of their new album, Yukis will be traveling across Korea and Japan to continue their career as the 'original Hallyu Doll'. On June 29, Yukis will hold their first fan concert, "2024 UKISS FAN CONCERT 'First Memories'" in Seoul, and in July, they will hold a solo concert, "2024 UKISS LIVE TOUR IN JAPAN More&More" in three Japanese cities. The group will be performing a rich setlist that encompasses the group's narrative and will connect with fans in Japan and overseas. In particular, this will be the first time in 16 years since their debut that UKISS will be holding a fan concert in Japan, which is significant for both the group and their fans.
