BTS's "Black Swan" MV surpasses 500 million views...17th time in its history

BTS has added 500 million views to its music videos.

The number of YouTube views for "Black Swan," a song from BTS's fourth studio album "MAP OF THE SOUL : 7," released in 2020, exceeded 500 million at around 7:59 a.m. on the 15th. This makes "Black Swan" BTS's 17th music video to reach 500 million views.

"Black Swan" is a dreamy track with a trap drum beat, mournful lo-fi guitar melody, and catchy hook, and the lyrics are an autobiographical message about BTS realizing what music means to them.

Released in January 2020 ahead of the release of their fourth studio album, the song entered major international charts such as the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 (No. 57) and the U.K. Official Singles Top 100 (No. 46) upon its release, and topped the iTunes Top Songs chart in 93 countries/regions worldwide.

The music video for "Black Swan" shows the members transforming from swans to black swans on stage, and the barefoot performance scene of the seven members maximizes their lyrical and artistic sensibilities.

Including "Black Swan," BTS has a total of 39 music videos with over 100 million views.
