newjeans 'Get Up' becomes the longest-running K-pop girl group on the U.S. Billboard 200

NewJeans has set a new record for the longest chart run by a K-pop girl group on the US Billboard Main Album Chart.

According to the latest U.S. Billboard chart (dated January 27) released on January 23 (local time), NewJeans' (Minzy, Hani, Daniel, HaeRin, and HyeIn) second EP "Get Up" is ranked at No. 197 on the Billboard 200. The album has been on the Billboard 200 for 26 consecutive weeks since its debut at No. 1 on August 5 last year.

This marks the longest chart run for a fourth-generation K-pop group on the chart and ties the record for the longest chart run for a K-pop girl group in history, just one year and six months after their debut.

"Super Shy," the title track from "Get Up," continued to perform strongly on the global charts. This week, the song reached No. 79 on the Global (excluding US) and No. 121 on the Global 200, marking its 28th consecutive week on both charts. Get Up's other title track, "ETA," peaks at No. 154 on the Global (excluding U.S.).

Newzine's previous releases are also chart-toppers. Their biggest hit in 2023, "Ditto," reached No. 184 on the Global 200 and No. 94 on the Global (excluding US), for a total of 57 weeks on the charts. "OMG" is ranked at No. 93 and No. 179 on the Global (excluding US) and Global 200, respectively.
