BLACKPINK's Jisoo becomes first Korean female solo artist to top Billboard's year-end chart

Blackpink's impressive performance on the '2023 Year-End Chart' proves their global popularity.  Billboard announced the results of the year-end charts. Jisoo, who made her solo debut on March 31 with the single album "ME" and title track "FLOWER," broke several records as a female solo artist.  According to Billboard, Jisoo debuted at No. 89 on the Billboard Global Excl. US Artist, becoming the first and only Korean female solo artist to make the chart. The title track, "FLOWER," became the highest-ranked song by a female solo artist in K-pop, peaking at No. 96 on the Billboard Global Excl. US, and the first and only Korean song by a female solo artist in K-pop to chart at No. 160 on the Billboard Global 200.  Billboard releases its year-end charts annually, recognizing the most popular albums, songs, and artists in each category throughout the year. The 2023 year-end rankings are based on the performance of various charts from Nov. 19, 2022, to Oct. 21 of this year.
