BLACKPINK's "Kill This Love" performance video has surpassed 500 million views on YouTube.

According to YG Entertainment on April 2, BLACKPINK's "Kill This Love" choreography video surpassed 500 million views on YouTube at 8:59 p.m. the previous day. It has been about four years and 10 months since it was released on April 9, 2019.

The song "Kill This Love" is characterized by a strong lead brass and massive drum sound. The song's choreographed video captured BLACKPINK's powerful and dynamic performance, including addictive point choreography such as shooting a long gun, which amplified the mood of the song, and drew enthusiastic responses from music fans around the world.

In its first week of release, the song reached No. 41 and No. 24 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200, respectively, becoming the highest-ranked K-pop girl group at the time. The group's sophisticated music video was also the only K-pop act to make the list of the "Top 10 Most Viewed Music Videos of 2019 Globally.

This makes BLACKPINK the first K-pop artist to have three choreography videos with more than 500 million views out of a total of 45 videos. BLACKPINK's billion-view streak continues with their music videos and choreography videos. Previously, "How You Like That" and Lisa's "MONEY" choreography video achieved the same number of views.

BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel is also showing no signs of slowing down. Currently, their videos are being viewed approximately 34.6 billion times, breaking the record for the first, highest, and most views every minute, and their official YouTube channel has more than 92.8 million subscribers, ranking first among all male and female artists worldwide.

Last year, BLACKPINK successfully concluded the largest world tour by a K-pop girl group, BORN PINK, with the "BLACKPINK WORLD TOUR BORN PINK FINALE IN SEOUL" in 34 cities and 66 dates. As the first Asian artist to serve as a headliner at the Coachella Festival in the United States (250,000 people on both days) and Hyde Park in the United Kingdom (65,000 people), BLACKPINK performed with a total of 2.15 million music fans, demonstrating their 'world class' status.
