BLACKPINK 'Pink Venom' MV Reaches 800 Million Views


BLACKPINK's music video for "Pink Venom," the first song from the group's second album, has surpassed 800 million views on YouTube.


According to YG Entertainment on the 28th, BLACKPINK's music video for "Pink Venom" surpassed 800 million views on YouTube at 4:57 p.m. the previous day. It is the group's 12th video to reach 800 million views, about a year and five months after its release on Aug. 19, 2022.


The music video broke the previous world record for a female artist with 90.4 million views on YouTube within 24 hours of its release. It went on to reach 100 million views in the fastest time of any K-pop girl group (29 hours and 35 minutes) and 200 million views in seven and a half days.


Immediately after its release, the song climbed to the top of iTunes in 81 countries, reaching #1 on the US Billboard Global 200 for two consecutive weeks and #1 on Billboard Global for three consecutive weeks. In particular, the song was also listed at No. 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Chart, proving its strong influence in the global music market.


Currently, BLACKPINK's official YouTube channel has 92.81 million subscribers, making them the number one artist in the world, surpassing K-pop. She has 45 billion-view videos and has accumulated more than 345.9 billion cumulative views of her content, breaking firsts and best records as the "YouTube Queen" every day.
